Reseller Hosting

When you offer to host a website for your client, normally as a reseller you would include other services such as website design, SEO, online marketing, etc. Your customer would get the web hosting for their site from you, and in turn, you would use your partnership status with an established hosting reseller program to provide the service to your client.

Your customer gets their own cPanel account, with their own disk space limit and other resource limits. They can manage their website, email, etc through the self-service control panel provided to them.

There are no mentions of the web host that you are using to provide the reseller service on any of the interfaces that your customer accesses, which means the fully white-label service is all yours to brand how you see fit. This allows you to charge your customer higher hosting fees than what you are paying for your reseller hosting service, and in turn make a profit.

WHM and WHMCS are two separate products, made by different companies but both owned by the WebPros Holding Company and often confused with each other.

WHM is included free of charge with all reseller accounts and is the backend to the cPanel control panel, which server administrators and users with reseller hosting packages can use to manage their cPanel accounts.

WHMCS is a PHP software which provides automated functionality for web hosting providers, with integrations into cPanel & WHM (along with over 30 other web hosting and SaaS providers). WHMCS requires a paid-for license, which is available as an optional addon to our reseller hosting packages for those wanting to automate their own web hosting company, but this is not a requirement of our services.

Becoming a web host is a great way to build a secondary income, and building your knowledge of hosting services could lead to your reseller hosting business becoming your primary source of income. However, it’s unlikely you’ll be making a living out of the business right away. It takes a lot of time and effort, but you will be rewarded for the effort you put in.

Some of our web hosting resellers are just one-person portfolios, looking for an easy way to manage multiple websites, or a web designer looking for an easy way to manage their client’s sites. Others are top reseller hosting companies that have made the ‘big time’ and employ their own team of support staff. The best thing about reseller businesses is that they are so flexible.

We take backups of all cPanel accounts hosted on our reseller hosting plans on a nightly basis. Backups are included free of charge with our reseller hosting services. Customers can restore backups from one of the retention points via their cPanel account, or the hosting reseller can use Web Host Manager (WHM) to restore various parts of the hosting account (such as email accounts, SSL certificates, or databases); or the entire hosting account.
